Most outboard motors are a 50 to 1 mix rate... but I prefer 40 to be safe... it also allows you to get away with a cheaper oil that can be found at Walmart (but don't do that with a high end 2 stroke such as an evinrude etec - for those - use the correct oil).
A gallon is 128 ounces. Divide by 40 gives approx 3 ounces. So... you need 3 ounces of 2 stroke oil (don't use motor oil!) for every gallon of gas.
It cost 500.00 for 200 gallons of gas! Very expensive right!
I have the original gas tank for the same engine and it says 5 ounces per 5 gallons..

The wooden boats contained 3 engines, which consumed nearly 200 gallons of gas per engine an hour; Consequently, they carried about 3,000 gallons of gasoline.
