Enough to fill it up to the full mark on the dipstick. Park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Pour in 4 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and run for 30 seconds. Shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick and add as necessary to reach the full mark. Do not overfill. You now know the capacity.
