on almost every automobile, the oil pump is inside the oil pan. that is where the pump gets the oil from. no major manufacturers use dry sump systems with the pump being belt driven. this is for exotic race cars. several other people have asked the same question for different models today. this answer is for all of them.you have to pull the oil pan.
