Natural gas is found in many places in the US, too many to mention. It is found underground anywhere oil, coal, or shale exists. Of course some areas have it more readily available than others.
There is oil off the coast of California, Shale Oil in Colorado and I believe there remains a marginal amount of gold and copper
The US has oil and estimation show we could do away with foreign oil dependency completely. The amount differs between studies but it does show that in crude oil alone there is about 20 years worth of oil. In oil shale there is upwards of 200 years worth. these estimates being based on U.S. consumption of oil today. That estimate is we use 20 million barrels a day. As we move forward development of new energies and new technologies I'm thinking we could make these reserves last much longer. We could within those 200 years get away from oil dependency completely. My question is if we have all this oil why are we saving it? Now that technologies are there to extract the oil from the oil shale why dont we do that? Lets stop supporting terrorist by purchasing their oil.
Yes, in all states.
They had oil available for great profit.
?
quite alot The US actually has the largest estimated reserves in the world if include shale oil. The U.S. has 2% of the worlds oil. By the estimation of BP and others there are 40years of oil left. USGS says we hit the peak in 2034 from there on out it gets harder to get and more expensive. Shale oil takes a lot of hydrogen to produce crude the pollution from making hydrogen puts a lot of co2 in the air. Essentially everyone agrees that in 40 years we better be depending on something else. interesting articel and net sim to figure your own projection at electric and hybrid car dot com.

Shale Watershed
About 0.43 US gallons of oil.
The US is currently importing about 1,900,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada.
