The Ford Aerostar totally sucked and was just as bad such on the motor and presentation. It was replaced by the Ford Windstar, which also sucked on its presentation on its first model, but did a little better during the second model, which was later replaced by the Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivan, which were also not doing a perfect job. The Ford Flex is the brand new replacement and should do much better.
The label under the hood recommends 2 lbs 4 oz of R-134a if you have A/C on the front only, but 3 lbs 5 oz are recommended if you have A/C on the front and rear as well. These values are for the 2004 Ford Freestar 4.2 liter engine, very likely this is the same for the 3.9 as well.
I was looking at the 2004 Ford Freestar Owner Guide and it shows that the SINGLE switch for the power vent windows is located on the dash ( but not where on the dash , not much help ! ) The switch has " VENT " on it
A 2004 Ford Freestar typically requires about 11.5 quarts (or approximately 2.9 gallons) of coolant when performing a complete drain and refill of the cooling system. It's important to use the correct type of coolant, usually a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water, to ensure optimal performance and protection against corrosion. Always check the vehicle's manual for specific recommendations and guidelines.
The Ford Freestar, a minivan produced from 2004 to 2007, has a weight that typically ranges from approximately 3,600 to 4,200 pounds, depending on the specific model and trim level. The exact weight can vary based on factors such as optional features and equipment.
In a 2004 Ford Freestar, you can typically expect to travel around 30 to 50 miles after the gas light comes on, depending on driving conditions and how much fuel is actually left in the tank. However, this can vary based on your driving habits and the vehicle's condition. It's always best to refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of gas and potentially damaging the fuel system.
Can't say for positive sure, but I would expect the Freestar/Monterey blend door actuator motor to be much like the Windstar. Common failure, easy replacement - about $40 See "Related Questions" below for links to the Windstar related blend door discussions
I was reading first couple of replies, they gave the dumbest replies like I would go to dealer & ask or I would call different places to compare the price. Stupid people this stuff any kid can do too. Person asked for price no suggestion.
