The pressure inside a closed cylinder when engine cranking varis based on engine starter motor speed. The manufacturer designs the engine with what is known as the compression ratio, this means the piston sweeps the volume of the cylinder compressing the air and fuel as it reaches top dead centre. The amount of pressure in a cylinder is not that important provided all cylinders are even, and the cylinder leakage is not excessive. Each manufacturer will have their own specifications for each engine they design.

There is this gauge you can buy it screws right into the spark plug port and when you turn your motor over slightly not starting it but just bumping the starter when you get the internals of the motor at a certain point it will read the exact max pressure in your cylinder.

Can a car engine exceed 500 degrees?

No. Car engines are cooled by water (under pressure), so they run at or aground 100 degrees Celsius. Of cause in the combustion chamber and at the exhaust temperatures are much higher.

How do you stop oil burning?

your car has oil burning in the combustion chamber of your engine , need to rectify the engine block and replace piston rings

When I am cruising down the road not pressing my gas I notice that my car is losing it's power then you press on the gas and then it seems like your car is getting the power back why is this?

Pressing on the gas pedal sends more gas to the combustion chamber for the combustion process which sends more pressure to the engine for your car to pick up speed.

Why does your car backfire while driving it?

Backfire is an explosion produced by a running internal combustion engine that occurs in the intake or exhaust system rather than inside the combustion chamber,

Why did the sleeve valve engine disapere from car engines?

To increase compression. Sleeve valves take a lot of combustion chamber space.

Can fuel stabilizer cause smoke from tailpipe its white didnt notice it before?

No. White smoke is a symptom of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Stop driving the car and have it looked at by a professional. Serious engine damage will occur if it is indeed coolant in the combustion chamber and you continue to run the engine.

What is the function of the engine block in car?

The engine block keeps combustion controlled in the chamber instead of exploding the engine apart. It also helps with cooling and provides a platform for your other engine parts.

What do engineers use to help reduce friction in the operation of a car?

organize you combustion chamber with carbohydrate rods and put friction pumps in the engine

How do you make a car on alchemy for ipod?

cart + combustion engine = car steam engine + gasoline = combustion engine boiler + coal = steam engine

What does incomplete combustion do to the engine of a car?

Incomplete combustion in an engine indicates that all of the fuel has not been burnt. Incomplete combustion can cause clogging and damage to the valves in the engine of a car.

Gasoline is burned in the combustion chamber of a car the reaction rate is what?

decrease

Can a car burn oil on the inside of the motor?
