Not much you can do about that. Most Airlines will try to hand back lost property, but they don't have to. They have some responsibility for checked in luggage, but are not required to care for lost items. And maybe you forgot it someplace else. Maybe another passenger took it.
The one that they determined caused the fire will be #1. The property one owner if not involved is as much a victim as property two owner. The liability will fall on the one who is responsable for letting the fire get away and if none is determined each owner has a accidental fire claim to file with thier respected agencies for the damage to their own property and nothing more.
