There are lots of different kinds of worms. Some wormslive under water, like Ragworms, Green Paddle Worms, and Honeycomb Worms. Those are my favorites. I don't now much about land worms.

2 kg of white water is 2 kg of white water
Worms do not need water in the sense of volume per day to imbibe. Worms have to stay moist, but will actually drown in water. So long as their habitat stays moist, but not wet, they will be fine.
Not so much harmful. But it does leave you a good chance of getting worms.
Yes, red worms will eventually die in water. But red worms CAN live in water for several days if it has sufficient oxygen. I thought that red worms drown in water. It had been raining for several days in my garden. I have a igloo in my garden that collected the rain water. I looked in it recently and found a cup of red worms at the bottom. I thought yea they drowned, how did they get in there, why did they get in here? So I started to scoop the worms out to keep the rain water clean. When I dumped the worms back into the soil they were very much alive and moving alot and burrowed down quickly. So I got on-line and found my answer on wikipedia, so yes they can survive in water for long periods of time.
