For younger teenagers (12-15) you should pay 4-8 dollars an hour. For older teens (16+) you should pay more because they have lives and lots of homework, so maybe 6-10 dollars. Extra kids should be 1 dollar extra and night shifts should be 2 dollars extra.

∙ 16y ago3 bucks a hour If it's while you're out on a date, to dinner, to the movies, etc ., no less than 8 bucks an hours. Ten would be better. If she's providing daycare services, she should get at least half of what you'd pay a day care center.

∙ 12y agoI don't know where you live but in England no one would let a 12 year old babysit. the legal age is 13. i am 14 in a couple of weeks and i don't have a set rate as i feel that is pushy. i get £4-5 a hour. also you are not much older than the child- they may feel patronised!
