From the middle up shoud be at a 1/2 inch. Thats the top part of the chain in the little hole in the upper middle of the outter primary. Put your index on the bottom of the chain and lift up should be around 1/2 inch slack or lash. Too much will hit top of primary to little (too tight) with grind the adjustment shoe off.
