I think I know what you mean by that, but am not entirely sure. This is what I mean: kb means kilobit. KB means kilobyte. The capitalization makes a difference.
There is a difference, so I will tell you both :)
Kilobit = 128 bytes (8 bits to a byte)
Kilobyte = 1024 bytes
