Of course he was paid for painting it.
He contributed on Verrocchio's painting 'Baptism of Christ'. The first painting that was probably wholly by his own hand was the 'Annunciation'.
Do you mean it is NOT a Leonardo painting? My response to that answer is that Leonardo did make this painting, but its just people think that Leonardo sketched a picture of himself but drew it so it look like someone else. I think this is true. (Note: I think...)Answer 2:Mona Lisa was a Florentine Lady, Lisa Gherardini.
One difference is that Michelangelo preferred sculpture to painting. In painting Leonardo sought the means to make painted figures seem real. For Michelangelo it was important to have his figures look great and awe-inspiring.
He wanted to make money so he could be the richest man alive. and so he could make the world happier.
The Florentine merchant Francesco del Giocondo commissioned Leonardo to make this portrait of his wife, Lisa Gherardini.
He made many, among these , his most famous paintings, the Mona Lisa, and the painting of the Last Supper. He also drew invention designs for things like the calculator. That is, if you're talking about Leonardo Da Vinci.
He was a kind, hard working man who spent his adult hood painting or working to make a living
The painting called Ginevra de' Benci that was made by Leonardo Da' Vince, it took one year to make it and that year was 1474.
A Florentine lady, probably Lisa Gherardini.
