Advisory is a period when you do homework/read a book. In reality, however, its a waste of time. Take it from me, unless you get a really strict teacher, some could care less what you do. I mean, sure, its a good time to do homework and all, but it's a waste of time.

Yes,but maybe only a sheet every day because homework can take up lots of time and children need fresh air and need to get out of the house. When I was a child I hated how much homework my teacher gave me because it was an unnescessary amount. So yes, but not alot.
sometimes teachers just like to torture you. and they can also be complete jerks sometimes. Sometimes teachers have to give homework for the slower kids that the faster kids already know, so it's a waste of time for them but the slow kids have to learn it - just get it out of the way and get a good grade on it
All kids think they have too much homework because they have never actually had to work before. They don't realize that school is their job - just like their parents have to go to work every day whether they want to or not. Once you grow up and have a full-time job, you'll be wishing you just had school and homework instead!
