really, it depends on the story i can tell you about how i walked down the hall to my class and that might take me only a few minutes. its a matter of how much detail you go into and how long the time span is in the story. the more detail, the more time it takes, the longer the time span, the longer it will take you to write the story. there is no set time, however, there are publishing companies that expect your work at a specific time, so you want to be careful about that. you can lose a contract if your not careful
