Yes, the moon does not have its own rays. The rays we see are actually caused by sunlight reflecting off the surface of the moon, particularly from the craters and mountains.
That would be a lunar eclipse.
The moon only shines off of the sun's rays so when the sun is behind the moon there are no rays to be reflected off the moon ...
Because there is no atmosphere the greenhouse effect does not take place. All of the suns rays are reaching the moon with full power.
due to the lack of atmosphere blocking the solar rays.

The surface of the moon heats up.
Moonlight. it is the light that comes to Earth from the Moon. This light does not originate from the Moon, but is actually reflected sunlight. In many legends and fantasy games, moonlight is an important part of magical processes (for example, werewolves transform at full moon).
OBVIOUSLY
X rays will be taken to determine if the bone at the top of the finger has been fractured.
the distance between the sun and the moon because moon light is produced by the rays of sun boucning off the surface of the moon
Consider earth revolving sun. Moon revolve around earth. During that revolution sun's rays fall on earth.when the sun's rays falls on moon making shadow on earth thats Solar eclipse. Whem sun's rays fall on earth fully making no light fall on moon ie) sun's rays falling on earth where moon behind earth gets no light. During solar eclipse we see moon revolving earth makes sun's rays not reach to the place on earth. During lunar eclipse we see no moon as suns' rays not reach Moon
