32 gigabytes is 32 gigabytes, or 7,000 songs, or 40 hours of video (according to Apple.com).
32GB is the largest card you can find for purchase. Surely there is some rediculous SD card in some lab somewhere, but for now your best bet is 32 GB SDHC. Keep in mind your SD card reader needs to support SDHC. Check it first.

Install the video card and on start up enter BIOS and turn off on board video if you have that. Then load current video driver for your card. If you don't have the latest driver. Go to the makers web site and click on support and find your model. The download is free. Then follow the instructions I've given up above.
32 gallons in mine.
NOT A LOT i recommend 32 GB
A 32 GB iPad could hold roughly between 6,000 and 8,000 songs. It is difficult to give a more exact estimate because music files vary widely depending upon length and quality. If you plan to store photos or video as well, this will greatly decrease the number of songs possible.
The postage rate for a standard card was 32 cents after 22 January 2012.
With XP, recommend 2-3 GB (generally the 3GB is the max you can access no matter how much you have). If you have Vista 32 you can use 3-4 GB. Vista 64 will support much more (I think 32 GB, but am not sure), however, unless you have very intensive applications, recommend 4 GB. Also, you want to look at your video card. Ensure you have at least 512MB video memory -- for games and graphics intensive applications (e.g. AutoCAD), get as much video capacity as you can afford.
A lot I have an 8gb iPod ad tht holds loads so 32 will hold lots
