The year when the average cost of a barrel of crude oil was $38.00 was 2004. That year, the average price per barrel was $37.66. The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in 2004 was: $1.88 per gallon.

Untreated gasoline starts to go bad after 30 days. Treat it with a fuel stabilizer and theoretically it will last one year. If you keep it that long I would mix the treated gas with 50% fresh gas when you use it. That 50/50 mix will be ok to use. Untreated gasoline over 60 days old mix with 80% fresh fuel before using.
Fiberglass underground storage tanks for gasoline storage are expected to last 30-years. After this amount of time regulations require their replacement.
SPOILER ALERT: at the end of the last mission, price and soap are injured, unable to get up on the bridge while zakaev and his men are moving in and killing survivors including sgt.griggs, price is still alive and throws soap a gun while zakaev and his men are distracted by another helicopter and soap kills him along with his goons and price passes out i think, (he comes back in mw2)
I got my I pod fixed at the nearest Future Shop. They did it for 20$, and they said that it would last me for another couple of years. Totally worth it!
They are built so they have the maximum area possible to pick up wind, and the best quality so they last long, for the lowest price, so they are cheap to make. They have huge fan blades, that are tilted at the perfect angle.
Crude oil was $79.32 a barrel in October 2007. That month, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2.793
In December 2009, the price of crude oil was $70.53 per barrel.
From 1995 to 2010, the average price of a barrel of crude went from $16.75 to about $70.00. It hit a high of $91.48 in 2008.
1979 was the last time gasoline was actually selling for $1.00. But if you adjust the price for inflation the price was below $1.00 in 2008.
From 2005-2010, the average price for a barrel of crude oil is: about $67.00.
The price of gasonline is more than just what is paid for the oil extracted from the ground. That gasoline price also includes refining, shipping, and sale (like the people who work at gas stations). From December to June 2009, gasoline prices went from about $1.50 to $2.50, while oil went from $30/barrel to $70/barrel. That translates, very roughly, to a $1 increase per gallon of gasoline for every $40 per barrel of oil. That would mean that if oil sold for $0, gasoline would still cost about $.75 a gallon. Keep in mind, the $1 gasoline for $40 of oil is a very unscientific method. Yet it is somewhat consistent. At July of last year, oil was $147, and gasoline costed on average $4.12, I think. That means the cost of oil then was about $80 more than it is right now. That translates to an extra $2/gallon for gasoline. Add those two dollars to the current price of $2.50/gallon, and you end up with an estimated $4.50- not a far cry from the actual $4.12.
In the 1920s but .11 cents in 1920 was not the same as .11 cents today. It was more of the average disposable income than $1.00 is today.

It is hard to certain but it seems that gas price wil fall by a considerable amount by Christmas. The price of oil has dropped $50 a barrel in the last month. I would expect gas prices to drop by 75c to a dollar a gallon by Christmas.
