That would be close to 26 gallons of water. Water weighs 8.3 pounds per gallon. If you freeze 8.3 pounds of water, it makes a bit more than 1 gallon, but 220 pounds of ice should come out to pretty close to 26 gallons of water.

What does dry ice form when added to water?

It generally forms water ice and carbon dioxide vapor.Dry ice is so much colder than the freezing point of water, if you drop dry ice into water the water will freeze. At the same time, water ice is so much above the freezing point of CO2 that the dry ice sublimates back into gaseous CO2.

Can you eat to much ice?

Since ice is just frozen water it is actually good for you and you can't really eat too much water.

Is ice water more dense then normal water?

Ice water is more dence then normal water because the particles in ice water move slower then normal water. This is because ice water has been in a much colder area then normal drinking water.

Why ice berg is over the water?

The iceberg is lighter than water, but not by much. The ice floats, but about 80% of the iceberg is under water.

How much heat is necessary to change 220 g of ice at -5C to water at 20C?

You need to add all of the following:* The heat required to heat ice from -5 to 0 degrees. Multiply the mass times the temperature difference times the specific heat of ice. * The heat required to melt ice. Multiply the mass by the heat of fusion. * The heat required to raiste the temperature of water from 0 to 20 degrees. Multiply the mass times the temperature difference times the specific heat of water.

Where could you find the solid form of water?

There are 15 known crystalline forms of water, one is called Ice [Ih] which is normal hexagonal crystalline ice. Virtually all ice in the biosphere is ice Ih, with the exception only of a small amount of ice Ic. Ic is a metastable cubic crystalline variant of ice. The oxygen atoms are arranged in a diamond structure. It is produced at temperatures between 130 and 220 K, and can exist up to 240 K, when it transforms into ice Ih. It may occasionally be present in the upper atmosphere.

Water weight ice weight?

Water's weight, when frozen into ice stays the same, but the density of water is much higher than ice's, since Ice has the same weight and contents of Water, but takes up significantly more space.
