What is longer human skin cell or the wavelength of visible light?

Yes, the skin cell is much longer than the wavelength of visible light. The wavelength of visible light is in the range of hundreds of nanometers. Skin cells are much larger.

Dangers of visible light?

Too much exposure to visible light can cause damage to your retina.

How much of the electromagnetic spectrum can your eye detect as light?

visible light

How does the wavelength of gamma rays compare to the wavelength of visible light?

It is electromagnetic radiation, which is the same in composition as visible light but has a much higher frequency/shorter wavelength, and will do damage to any biological material it passes through. Both travel at the same speed ('velocity of light') but gamma radiation can penetrate material opaque to visible light.

What layer of the sun does solar wind come from?

Mostly light from and near the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. Thevisivle spectrum includes all of the light that we can see, anything out of thisspectrum we cannot see. We can see in this spectrum because that is mostly thetype of light that the sun produces. However, the sun does produce radiation or"light" from every part of the spectrum but most of the radiation it produces comesfrom the visable spectrum.==========================Answer #2 :Sunlight's composition at ground level, per square meter, with the sun at the zenith,is about 527 watts of infrared radiation, 445 watts of visible light, and 32 watts ofultraviolet radiation. So, if you ignore everything that's absorbed by the atmosphere, and ignore all theother forms of electromagnetic radiation from the sun, then only considering theinfrared, ultraviolet, and visible, the visible is about 44% of the total by the timethose reach the ground.

How much of the visible spectrum is contained in white light?

All of it. White light is the blend of all visible colors.

What is the difference between visible light and gamma waves?

Gamma rays are of higher energy and much much shorter wavelength than visible light.

Why does radiant heat from a radiator create heat but no visible light and why does a light bulb create visible light but can't heat much at all even if there are many lamps in a room?

If you don't think light bulbs, at least the incandescent kind, can heat much, I'd like to invite you to visit my stage, where I can put several tens of thousands of watts on you and we'll see about "can't heat much." Bring a towel. That aside... it has to do with the black body/cavity radiation curve. A radiator doesn't emit visible light because it's not hot enough; you need to reach about 900 degrees Fahrenheit to get much of anything in the visible light region. The filament in an incandescent bulb gets up to around 2700 K (almost 4500 degrees Fahrenheit).

How much light can the color white absorb?

White does not absorb light - it reflects all visible light waves, while black absorbs all visible light and reflects nothing.

What is X-ray light?

X-rays are electromagnetic waves - that is, of the same nature as visible light. However, their frequency and therefore their energy are much higher than that of visible light, while their wavelength is much lower.
