Second class costed 12 pounds (1200 dollars today). First Class: 870 pounds w/ parlor suite ($83.200 today). --> plus 30 pounds w/ berth ($2975 today). Second Class: 12 punds ($1200 today). Third Class: 3 pounds ($298 to $793 today). Notice that with only 1 single first class ticket the ship was able to pay all the staff for between 4 to 8 months since they only earned 2 pounds (skilled ones) and 1 pound or less (the less or non skiled ones).
