Depends on which computer you are referring to. You have a climate control module, power-train control module, etc.
take the old one out and take it with you to the junk yard ,make sure the #'s match cost about $ 100.00 there, dealer $ 1000.00 ! Where do you find power train control module on a 1996 kia sportage
At the deal it'll cost about $650 for new module and labor to install and program it.

This just happenned to me. I was getting a code PO300. It turned out to be the ignition control module. It cost 78.00 at autozone and only took 10 minutes to replace.
You cannot replace just the bushings. You have to replace the whole control arm.
You don't replace the lights in the dash board climate control. It is a singular control module. Once the lights in it burn out, that's it. You either replace it for a few hundred bucks or just live with it. A quick and cost effective way to get light in that area is to buy a little 12 volt light that you plug into the cigarette lighter with a flexible neck.
Replace the ABS module - from what I read it will cost about 900 bucks
When you replace the body control module with a used BCM you will need to know the VATS code for the key. It may be possible to get that code if you have the VIN # from the donor car. A new key then has to be made to match the donor BCM. At a cost of around $30 for the key it may be worth it. Otherwise you will have to buy a new BCM at around $300. Good luck!
All together depending on where you go parts and labor about 722.00 : - )
