The cost of printed greeting cards would depend on a number of things. They would include having the cards printed for you or if you plan to print them yourself, kind of paper and envelopes used, if the card will have a photo on it, and the kind and amount of printing desired. Vistaprint has cards that start at $95 for 100 cards and go up from there.

For efficiency. Advertisers, especially printed publications like newspapers, charge by the length of the article. Abbreviating helps to shorten the article and the cost of the advertisement. It is also much easier and faster to type the abbreviations for the words.

it depends on a lot of things like condition, player, year it was printed, and company that made it and how many they printed.
Depends on the card stock they are printed on. The ink is of little consequence.
It depends on how much and how many you would like to have,
36 cards would cost £1
In my opinion, e-greetings are a lot cheaper that snail mail for Christmas. Because they are online, there is pretty much no price for these greetings.
A lot.
Since a business card is not mandatory for an insurance agent (or any other line of work), then there are no requirements as to what has to be printed on the business cards. But you do have to make sure that every thing that is on the cards is the truth, and that there is no false information on them. I would advise you to have your name, office phone number, office address, and type of agent (life, property & casualty, etc.). I would not put anything on the cards that can be used by someone else in a fraudulent manner (identity theft, etc.). You do not have to put your home phone number, home address, etc on the cards, and I don't think it would be a good idea to have that much information on them. Just your name, office number and address, and type of insurance agent will be all anyone would need.
That depends! :)
