Depends on the locality . . . between $40 and $80 for most horses. I am currently trying to establish a mean price in my own research, and right now my best guess is about $60.
In medieval times barter took the place of money, especially for the non-wealthy. So this makes it very hard to know the worth of any livestock.

A good horse or pony would cost between $800 to $3000.
The cost of a horse depends on the training, parentage and age as well as the time of year. some people just want to get rid of a horse so they price it low but it doesn't mean that there is anything wromng with it. i would get someone to go with you when you look at this horse for a second opinion and get a vet to check it over before you purchase it
I am trying to find out how much it will cost to transport my horse to Hawaii from Pennsylvania? thanks shannon
It depends on the sex, (or gender), and the kind of horse.
Although in 1914 there were cars around the average citizen in early 20th century still relied heavily on the horse. A middle of the road saddle horse that pulled the buggy to church on Sunday would be around $100 depending on his breed, training, age, health, and where in the world you lived at the time.

The price of a horse, according to a Medieval Sourcebook (link below) was 10 to 20 shillings for a draft hourse, but could go to twenty times that, or more, for a fine riding horse or a war horse. At that time, a laborer would earn about forty shillings per year, according to the same source. The source shows a lot of variation in prices, so should not be taken as absolute.
first just to buy a horse it would cost more than $1000 plus you have to get all of the shots which would cost more than $700
if you went on a pilgrimage in the medieval times it would be dangerous because the medicine in those days were very poor and if happened to get a cut then it would get infected

On an average ferry, the cost of shipping a horse would be approximatley $300. This is a little steep, but well worth the money if you want to ship your horse. YAY HORSES

Depends on the vet bills.
A black slave named Morgan would be cheaper.
There is no one answer for the price of horseshoes in colonial times. This is due to each colony having it's own currency and prices for goods. However if averaged out it likely only cost a few cents to a couple of dollars in colonial money to purchase horse shoes.
