Best practices dictate that you take your jewelery to a certified gemologist to help you identify the metal and precious gems set in your ring. Then you will have a better idea of its value.
The value will depend upon the quality of the diamonds. You will need to get a jeweller to look at the ring. Diamonds are valued on more than just size, their colour ( shade of white) and clarity ( for example ) are important too.
Hi,It can be IV or VI which means 18ct in Arabic.Thanks.Get back to me at s.lucy43@yahoo.co.uk if u have any doubts.
One way to test it to see if it will stick to a strong magnet. Gold is non-magnetic, Therefor it should not be a tracked to the magnet. The only metal that will be a tracked to a magnet are iron, cobalt and nickel. Alloys that contain these elements will also be a tracked. Example- Steel. == The simplest test is to bite it. If it is pure gold, it will be soft and you will leave tooth marks. This isn't a foolproof method, however - there are other soft metals, and it might be low karat gold, which is quite a bit harder. A better test uses concentrated nitric acid. Scratch the object lightly with a file or something, then apply a few drops of the acid. If the object is gold plate on cheap metal, it will turn green. If it's gold plate on silver, it will turn a pinkish color. 10 karat gold turns dark brown, 12 karat light brown, and 14 karat or higher won't react much at all. >>M.T.<<
PLAT means Platinum. I have seen a diamond ring with the diamond held by a silvery metal whilst main ring is gold. It is stamped "PLAT 18CT".
It means that it is 18ct Gold and Platinum a lovely ring to have
An 18 carat gold krugerand would be worth around $290,000-$310,000
only 18ct inside
Depends on the age of the watch, the amount of gold involved and the condition it's in. Talk to a jeweler
There is actually a pretty big demand for gold scraps in today's economy. 18ct is an amount that can be pretty easily sold. To get the highest price for selling an 18ct gold earring, you should visit your local jewelry shop.
The stamps only indicate the carat of metal. They do not indicate the color of the metal. So for example an 18ct yellow gold ring would have a stamp of 750 as would an 18ct white gold ring. For 9ct gold the stamp will normally be the number 375 For 14ct gold the stamp will normally be the number 585 For 18ct gold the stamp will normally be the number 750
