It would cost approximately $500 million to build a replica Titanic in 2016.
Strictly speaking, you cannot make a seaworthy replica of Titanic because she would not meet today's safety codes, like having so much wood, for example, would be a fire hazard. As of 2017, there is a replica being built in China but it's landlocked. It's hundreds, maybe thousands of miles from the shore.
The simple answer is "no". One cannot replicate Titanic today because she would not pass modern safety codes.
In 1912, Titanic was built for $7.5M which would be about $400M today.
In 1912, Titanic was built to the tune of $7.5M US.
In 1912, Titanic was built to the tune of $7.5M US. There is a Titanic hotel being built in China (as of 2017) but there is no propulsion so it's not quite the same thing.
probably around $300,000 at that time which would be $20,000,000 today!!
There was never a full size replica of the Titanic made but Fox Studios came pretty close when building a replica ship for their 1997 movie "Titanic" starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio. They only buit the starboard side and did not decorate the inside but it was sitll pretty impressive and expensive at a price tag of $200,000,000.
Why in the world are you asking that question??!! The Eiffel Tower is already built! Why do people want to see a replica of the Eiffel tower for heaven's sake??!
There are passenger vessels that are larger than the Titanic was. The Titanic was a dead-weight of 46,000 tons. That's small in comparison to today's vessels when you consider a super tanker is around 250,000 tons. Modern passenger vessels used for cruising are around the 110,000 Tons mark. So would they build another Titanic? Well they may name it that (If they are not superstitious) but there will only ever be one Titanic recognised by history.
1000
In 1912, it cost $7.5 million US dollars (using the US Department of Labor Inflation calculator, that would be roughly equivalent to $174 million in 2015).
Building a replica of the Titanic would require a significant amount of timber, with estimates suggesting that it could take thousands of trees to provide the necessary wood, depending on the scale and materials used. The original Titanic was constructed using a variety of materials, including steel and wood, and a modern replica might prioritize different building methods. The exact number of trees would depend on the design choices, size, and types of wood selected for the construction. Overall, the figure could range from several hundred to several thousand trees.
