In the United States, copyright protection is automatically applied to any creative work, including software, when it is created... It costs nothing. If you write a poem on a napkin while you're eating lunch, it's copyright protected automatically.
There are numerous services that offer additional copyright services that provide some enhancement, primarily in the form of proofs and protections. These proofs and protections can include notarized or published accounts of ownership and date of creation, and, in some cases, even services that actively seek violators. While many people find these services valuable, they are notrequired for copyright protection to apply.
The costs of these services vary widely.
Application software is any software that allows a computer user to be productive; it isn't necessary for running the system (i.e. it is optional software).Examples of application software would be publishing programs, games, productivity software, email, etc.
There are mainly two types of computer software. 1.Application Software. 2.System Software.
AutoCAD is a software application for computer-aided design also know as CAD and drafting.
A software which helps to run a application is called a application software. eg. Microsoft Office
System Programs or System Software are the programs which enable the computer hardware or system to run (without these the computer as a whole or parts of it's functionality would not work). Examples include the operating system, device drivers. Application Programs or Application Software are the programs written to for specific applications or execution of specific tasks. e.g. Microsoft Word is an application software for word processing. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are application software written for internet browsing. Computer games are also application programs.
Two types of computer software would be: 1. Application Software which would perform useful tasks for users. 2. Firmware, which is software programmed to electrically programmable memory devices on board mainboards or different types of integrated hardware carriers.
I would think it would be an application software.
If there was no software at all, including the operating system, then the computer would not be able to boot and interact with a user. It would be a collection of hardware parts. If the computer had an operating system and nothing else, then it wouldn't be very useful because computers and Operating Systems need application software to make them useful.
Making a copy of the software, including uploading it to a filesharing service, would be copyright infringement. Unauthorized alteration to the code would also be infringing.
An analogy would describe it: CAR, Car DRIVER & DESTINATION.CAR being the COMPUTER itself is driven by the Car DRIVER (Operating System) to the DESTINATION(Desired Output of Application Software).
Practical computer systems divide software systems into three major classes: system software , programming software and application software System Software - The purpose of systems software is to unburden the applications programmer from the details of the particular computer complex being used, including such accessory devices as communications, printers, readers, displays, keyboards, etc. And also to partition the computer's resources such as memory and processor time in a safe and stable manner. Programming Software - programming software usually provides tools to assist a programmer in writing computer programs, and software using different programming languages in a more convenient way. Application Software - application software allows end users to accomplish one or more specific (not directly computer development related) tasks. Applications include - Business Software, Computer Games, Telecommunications i.e the internet and everything that flows on it. Databases, Educational Software and Medical Software
There are Application Software and System Software.
