Alternative power sources like wind and solar power provide free power once they have been built and paid for. They don't need trainloads of coal and oil every day to keep them going. So you would save a lot.
Over 91% of the power is generated from burning foreign oil. The geothermal, wind, solar, hydro, and ocean wave sources of alternative power are not used much at all.
That depends how much power each of the heat sources have. Add the power of the two heat sources, and compare with the power of the strong one.
The problem is not so much in the extraction of oil, but in the burning of oil. That is what is environmentally unfriendly. In the short term oil will have to be used, since transport and heating is so dependent on oil. Scientists eare working on alternative energy sources such as wind power, tidal power, water power.
Pop or Dance, definitely. A little alternative, but not as much as pop and dance :)
Unlike burning petroleum, using solar power, and other alternative energy sources, doesn't emit carbon dioxide. In theory, some might be emitted in the manufacturing of the equipment, though, depending on how they are manufactured - but you might expect that that is much less.
If hydro power is available, go for it. Most places don't have enough water or height to produce much hydro though. I hope nobody has built nuclear where hydro is available.
The cost of photovoltaic cells is high. Probably in the past with fairly cheap oil and natural gas, there was not much interest in solar. But this is changing. Although the potential of solar is huge, it is best adapted to very sunny areas, which are often not highly populated so the demand for power there is low. Also of course the sun does not shine at night. And the government and oil companies.
According to sources, 60% of power comes from thunder and can affect the social benefit of our human lives.
Cost too much/ineffective (too low power)
Without electricity, life would be drastically different; many modern conveniences would vanish. Daily activities would rely on manual labor or alternative energy sources like wind, water, or animal power. Communication would be slower, relying on written messages or face-to-face interactions, and many industries, including healthcare, transportation, and entertainment, would be severely limited. Overall, society would function at a much slower pace, and living standards would be significantly lower.
They would brag about how much power they had.
Very little power comes from their hydroelectic sources. There are very few water resources in the Latin American region.
