Yeah of course... Go to school for 2-4 years undergrad with a focus in pharmacy. Take the PCAT. If you do well you can then probably get admitted to a Doctor of Pharmacy program (Pharm D). Get through the 4 years of pharmacy school, pass the state board exam in the state you wish to practice. Then practice pharmacy as a pharmacist.
To become a pharmacist it normally takes 4 years of school. However most people go to school for 8 years, 4 years at an undergrad school and 4 years of pharmacy school.
The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy is the only pharmacy school in the state. You can complete pre-pharmacy coursework at UNM or another university before applying to pharmacy school. Currently, 3 years of prerequisite courses are required before applying. After acceptance, it is a 4 year program culminating in a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). Yes you do if your referring to a pharmacist. There have been changes in the requirements in recent years. The degree now is a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D).
There is no "degree" in high school. You complete your 4 years or you don't and at the end you get a diploma. To become a doctor you must attend college after high school and that is 12+ years of school for a medical degree.
It takes about 7 years in medical school for someone to become a doctor.
