Lieben is the verb for to love. There are a great many ways to say dear: beliebte, teure, lieb, as well as adding the suffex -chen to the end of a proper noun or even a name (sort of like the English suffix -ling, as in darling, from dear-ling). Much like in English, it's a matter of which form is idiomatically preferred. In English, we don't use the term Robert-ling to tell someone they're dear to us, but in Yiddish or Hebrew, it's still common to use the suffix -la, as in Rivkahla. Teure is a cognate of Dear, and has many of the same uses.======================================================Yes.
