Many times, people made myths because they wanted to know why something happened. Nowadays, all these people are "scientists" and can explain things. but somethings can't be explained. Sometimes myths are true, but they have no proof and these "scientists" say that since they have no proof it can't be real. Take the myth of the Trojan horse for example. They can't find the horse, they can't find the city, but they can find records from ancient Greeks. But because that's the only record and they don't have proof, those "scientists" say it can't be real. I'm not really mocking scientists. I actually look upto them and am becoming one, but I have a strong sense of humor right now. ;)

You've got two statements wrapped up in one question. Yes, hair and nails growing after death is a myth. Skin(and tissue) drying out and shrinking, causing a little more of hair and nails to become visible is the accepted explanation to how the myth got started.
the myth about werewolves was passed down from generation to generation, and the myth started hundreds of years ago. people only recently put them in books, so there is no single book that started the myth about werewolves.
None. it was the Mayans who started this myth.
No. That is a myth. I'm not sure how it started, but it's a myth.
He got started with a song
Because whoever started the myth decided to tell it that way. Truly, it may only give them an alergic reaction. and yes who ever started the "werewolves are insane sycopaths" myth told it that way, what a liar. and, if you got shot with a silver bullet, chanses are, you could die too. It's just because they're alergic.
Because the Greeks got bored.
They weren't. They are a myth, which most likely started out in Ireland.
