To take just one type of election in one country, there have been 57 U.S. Presidential elections, and the U.S. has had 44 Presidents. Other countries have had more elections. Then you have elections for all sorts of other positions in countries, towns, cities, organisations etc. So it would not be known how many elections there have been.
