bass are opportunistic feeders. theyll eat minnows, crayfish, aquatic bugs, worms, and basically anything that moves in front of them. ive even seen one jump out of the water and catch a dragonfly.

∙ 15y agobass feed in warm weather mostly early and late in the day.as fall begins,they go on a feeding blitz and may feed all day.with winter chilling down of the water,bass go to deeper water near creek channels and suspend.being a cold blooded creature,their metabolism slows in cold water.however,they may still feed a little when an oppurtunity such as a dying baitfish comes along,as so happens to a percentage of the shad population in winter.
