Once a day is fine. Remember to top off the food if it is getting low always have fresh water in the bottle eveyday! Never use a dish! They can drown and water all over their body can make them cold and get sick so don't bath the hamster either there is such thing called chinchilla sand for bathing never use shampoos or chinchilla dust there is a difference.
