I am not an expert but I have heard to take your bearded dragon and everything else (plants rocks substrate etc.) out of the tank and get some reptile tank cleaning spray. Spray the tank down than wipe it off. There will be directions on the bottle. I hope this helped a little but! I recommend wiping it with water but take care not to get the sand too wet. To clean the sand of droppings they have special scoopers used for sand similar to a scooper for a cat box but smaller holes. I would not use any chemicals such as Windex since the dragons will drink the spray from the glass and this could kill them. DONT USE SAND!!!

Clean out any 'mess' as soon as you can - this cuts down the risk of bacteria. Once a month, completely strip the vivarium - wash all surfaces INCLUDING rocks, hides etc with a WEAK solution of 'Milton fluid' (HALF a cap to TWO GALLONS of water)

Dry thoroughly before returning your Beardie to the viv.

Never ! They are a desert species and do not require 'bathing' ! They would never submerge themselves in water in their natural habitat ! They get almost all the moisture they need from their food - only drinking water in any quantity on rare occasions.

The above answer is wrong, they do need bathing to help keep them clean in captivity and it also helps to soften their skin when shedding.

I change the sand in the tank when I see feces. My bearded dragon doesn't eat if there's feces by it's food.

Every day. Sanitize the cage every one or two weeks to reduce bacteria and risk of infection.

You should remove any 'waste matter' as soon as is practical to do so. Any insects not eaten within ten minutes should also be removed.
