Change your pad every 4-6 hours, or sooner if it gets full.

It's especially important to change pads often if you use commercial pads like Always or Kotex, these prevent air-flow so make genitals sweaty as well as stop blood drying and contain chemicals that can cause bad odour. With cloth pads like Lunapads or Gladrags you can go a little longer without worrying about bad odour like with commercial pads, some cloth pads also allow you to keep the main pad but just swap out liners instead which can be a little easier.

usually the box will say something about how often is suggested. but generally it is advised i believe not to wear one more than eight hours. but honestly unless you are sleeping i would no suggest wearing the same pad more than 2 to four hours depending on the heaviness of your flow. It is a matter of preference but if the pad has been on long enough for the top layer to be saturated enough for the blood to be contacting your skin, it's time for a new pad honey. Overall, I would suggest as often as needed to feel clean and sanitary, also I would suggest using some sort of wetwipe baby wipe for extra cleanliness while using a pad or a tampon during your period.

Menstrual pads should be changed every 4-6 hours, sooner if the pad is full. How often you need to change depends on your flow and the absorbency pads you use. It's important to change regularly to stay hygienic, especially when using commercial pads like Always or Kotex which are less hygienic than other types of pads such as cloth pads like Lunapads or Gladrags.

Whenever you feel... Wet. I know its gross but that's the only way to tell. For me, it's every 4-5 hours on medium flow, 2-3 hours On a heavy flow and 5-6 hours on a light. I use U by Kotex tween pads and their super absorbent.

How many times should you change your pad in a day?

How often you change your pad depends on how heavy your flow is and how often your pads fill-up. You need to change your pads at least every 4-6 hours, this is true even if they're not full because you need to change often in order to remain hygienic.

Break pads are obviously something needed to be taken care of. Since break pads are applied so many times over thousands of miles, it is important to keep them up to date. One noticeable way to see you need your break pads changed is when you begin hearing your breaks squeak.
