The Yamaha R6 is a 600cc class sport bike, but technically has 599cc's so that they may be used for races requiring bikes to be under 600cc.
im 17 and i have an 07 r6 and so far i had it to about 175 but that wasn't quite at red line. i have heard from others with the same bike that they have gotten to 186.
it goes 320 or about 300 like most bikes now

i want drivr r6 but i am scare
hi i have a 2007 r6, i ride in the suburbs and i keep it at about 5000 because i believe its a good balance between power capibilities both speeding up and slowing down. and i computed my Mpg to be 37.6. i am wondering myself what the mpg is on the highway, i havent gone a long enough distance on one to get an accurate reading. hope this helps you. ~Eric R6
On a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is typically located on the right side of the motorcycle frame, near the steering head. It can also be found on the left side of the frame, just below the seat. Additionally, the VIN may be displayed on a sticker attached to the frame or on the engine itself.
depends on what kind of bike you are looking for. the r6 is a sport bike while the gs500 is a sport touring. for the long haul, i'd take the gs500. good power and very comfortable. for the short sprint, then i'd go r6 all the way. very fast of a 600 when comparing to other 600's of that generation.
