How often does Google Maps update their Morocco satellite images?

Google never lets on when it will update an area but you can subscribe to Google's "Follow Your World"notification service to get an e-mail when they do update Morocco or whatever location you pick.Sometimes newer imagery is available in 'Historical Imagery', which can be enabled from the View menu. In some cases the 'best' imagery isn't always the newest imagery.

How often does Google Earth satellite Passover East Hartford Connecticut?

While Google doesn't have its own satellite, and is instead provided imagery from other satellites, the imagery is usually 1-3 years old, according to google. So how old images are just depends on when google collects the images. But it is not possible to see images in real time using google earth.

What types of satellite images does Google maps offer?

Google maps offers high-resolution aerial images from satellites. These images are not updated very often. Since they are not updated frequently, newer features of the Earth's surface are not shown as often as they appear. Certain parts of the Earth are not able to be viewed. They are not able to be viewed due to risks of terrorism and for government protection.

How often does Google Maps update satellite images?

Google Maps uses the same satellite data as Google Earth and are updated together usually once or twice a month. But realize that some areas may be updated more frequently than others (just because that data is more readily available). Due to overwhelming demand when a given area will be updated Google has created a new e-mail notification service. Check out 'Follow Your World' in related links below.

How do you update Google Maps?

In 2006 Google Maps was updated to use the same satellite image database as Google Earth. Before that Google had to update and process imagery for both Google Earth and Google Maps where the maps where often out of sync with each other. Now Google updates its central map & imagery database and the updates are made available to both Google Earth and Google Maps at once. The time between getting imagery from satellite and seeing it on Google Maps is far from real-time. Once the imagery is taken by satellite, it takes time to process the data by a commercial provider like GeoEye before it is available to Google and other customers. Google will do additional processing to convert imagery into the format and coordinate system of its internal databases. This is one reason you normally won't find any imagery younger than about 6 months. For these reasons, the Google map & imagery database is updated once or twice a month.

How often do satellite pictures update?

Really depends on the source of the satellite imagery.Google for examples purchases or leases its satellite imagery from a number of imagery providers such as GeoEye and DigitalGlobe. Google updates it imagery on Google Earth and Google Maps once or twice a month but not the entire globe at once.Bing Maps (previously Live Search Maps, Windows Live Maps, Windows Live Local, and Microsoft Virtual Earth) is Microsoft's web mapping service. New updates are released on roughly a monthly basis.

Where might one go to get a Google Earth update?

Google Earth should automatically prompt you to update, whether it be through the app stores or not, when a newer and updated version is up. If this doesn't happen you may have to allow for this to prompt you to update when there is a new version out or to simply check back every so often to see if it needs an update.

Why can't you see planes in flight on Google Maps?

Google imagery is updated often and even if a plane is caught in flight on a given image -the next update for that area will no longer have the plane. Google Earth is more suited for seeing planes in flight especially with its 'Historical Imagery' so you can return to a particular place and time to see a plane caught in flight. The short answer is that you can see planes in flight on Google Maps and Google Earth. The long answer is that I am sure Google data is pulled from both satellite data and "flown" images. Flown images are taken at lower altitude so commercial planes are likely routed over the one taking the images.
