if you have rubber matting only. the stable should have the droppings taken out daily and the stable should be fully swept about once every 3 days. if you have straw/shavings bed. (OPTION 1 not deep litter) you should take all dropping and wet patches out and sprinkle new shavings or straw on every day, about once every week, all the straw or shavings should be taken out, the stable fully swept and another bed built. if you have straw/shavings bed. (OPTION 2 deep litter) take all the droppings out every day leave the wet patches in, simply cover them in fresh straw or shavings. about once every week, all the straw or shavings should be taken out, the stable fully swept and another bed built. hope that helps! :)

you need to clean it daily. if you don`t it will stink and the horse will smell like it`s poop and not only that... the horse could get sick too because if the hay is on the ground the horse could "do something" on it and then eat it and that could get the horse sick:(

A stall should be cleaned at least once a day. Horses who stay in a stall all day are not as healthy as horses who are allowed to run around, so remember to let the horse out for plenty of exercise. That way, their digestive systems work better, and they don't develop unhealthy habits from being bored.

A:You should clean your horses stall daily. If the horse is kept in the stall for a long time, than you should clean it out more than once a day.

How often should a horses stall be cleaned if the horse is in it frequently?

If the horse is stalled frequently you should muck out the stall at least twice daily if not more. Many people will muck out in the morning then 'spot' clean as they pass the stall and see a new dirty spot. In the evening they will again muck out the stall or add extra bedding.
