I just got my 2nd budgie about a month ago and they are starting to mate. They are usually at least 2 years old, sometimes they are 3, but before then they have not mated. Parakeets become a young adult at 9 months, so it is unlikely for them to breed in their first two years of age. Hope I helped!

∙ 12y agoits hard to tell how old your lovebvird is. but i do knoW that it has to be between 1 and 5 years of age to be able to breed.if you breed them, you should record everything so you know how old they are.
