I just got my 2nd budgie about a month ago and they are starting to mate. They are usually at least 2 years old, sometimes they are 3, but before then they have not mated. Parakeets become a young adult at 9 months, so it is unlikely for them to breed in their first two years of age. Hope I helped!
its hard to tell how old your lovebvird is. but i do knoW that it has to be between 1 and 5 years of age to be able to breed.if you breed them, you should record everything so you know how old they are.
They normally are ready to mate when they are 1 year old or more or sometimes a half of year no lower.
A female budgie should be around a year old to breed to make stronger and healthier offspring...younger females would not make very strong babies.
They are mature enough to lay at about 8 months of age, but if you raise them you shouldn't let the female breed until she is at least a year old.
Love birds reach mating age at around 5-6 months of age. Egg laying usually begins 3-5 days after mating.
usually about 18-20 weeks old before they actually begin laying eggs. -<3-
Depending on the breed, they start laying around when they turn a year old.
Maybe its too old to lay eggs now or its too cold to lay eggs
about 7-12 weeks
Blue-winged Kookaburras are birds. As such, like all birds, they reproduce by laying eggs. The kookaburra does not build a nest out of sticks and/or grass. Kookaburras lay up to three eggs in a nest they hollow out of an old termite nest, or a hollow already in a tree, which they will sometimes enlarge with their strong beaks.
At approx. 5 months or 20 weeks your chicken should start laying eggs.
A roach has no age restriction when it comes to laying eggs.
it takes about two (2) years to get pregnant
Most hens begin laying eggs at about 16 to 20 weeks old. This depends on the breed and nutritional health of the hen. The hens first egg (s) are often small and can even be yolkless.
Most chickens are between 5-6 months old before they start laying eggs and will lay eggs for about two years. Some chickens will start laying at 4.5 months, but this is rare and probably due to hormones in their feed.
Here's my limited experience: Bobwhite quail hatched on 5/13/09. One egg was laid on 9/16/09. No other eggs to date. I have 5 males and 7 females housed together in a 3X5 raised pen. The pen is outdoors in Georgia. I had read that egg laying begins at 5-6 months, but one of mine obviously laid at 4 months. The shell was thin in some spots and thicker in other, which I'm told is typical for the first egg or two.
They start laying eggs when they are about 1 year and 3 months later.
