I think you should be at least 16 before you dye your hair.
I am 13, i dyed my hair when i was 12.
Semi-permanantly too.
I've dyed it 4 times now, and gradually, my hair has started falling out...!
I know I'm never going to dye my hair again!
Even though the dye I used was ammonia free, my hair is falling out.
Trust me! I no!
I'm a 13 year old girl, i have a boyfriend... And my hair is falling out...
Plz take my advice, don't dye your hair until your at LEAST 16!

∙ 15y agoI think 14 is a good enough age but you shouldn't use permanent colours because they are really for covering grey and you might not have any of those. It is an expensive habit so have a good think about it before you buy that bottle!

∙ 14y agoIn my opinion you should dye your hair at 14 or older, because once you dye your hair you will have to keep dying it again and again when the colour fades or gets overgrown. and its a lot of hassle.
I think an appropriate age is about 14. you don't want to look too over-the-top

In my opinion you should start dying your hair when your parents think it is appropriate, if they say yes do not go too drastic with your new colour dye it gradually so it looks more natural but be careful that you have enough money because if you start too soon then you might run out of money and you will have to let the dye grow out!
