There is no legislated legal age.
The parent has the responsibility to ensure that the child is properly cared for. The age at which a child is capable of being home alone varies by child and situation.
I don't know, but in a recent newspaper, it said that it didn't matter. kids over 10 can stay at home since different kids mature at different ages. Wish i knew too, my mum is SO strict! (-:
well age 12-14 you can stay home over night
16
15
There is currently not a law that specifies the age a child has to be to stay home alone overnight. It is left up to the parents to decide if their child is mature enough to handle it.
Over night, 15
In Arkansas, there is no specific legal age outlined for a child to stay alone overnight. It is ultimately up to the parents to determine if their child is responsible and mature enough to stay alone overnight. It is recommended that parents consider factors such as the child's age, maturity level, and their ability to handle emergencies before allowing them to stay alone overnight.
It depends on your definition of child. Some nine year old individuals can be responsible when left alone. On the other hand there are 17 year old individuals that can't be left anywhere alone. Still, I am a firm believer that if you have to ask a question like this, your not ready to leave any child alone. All it takes is one disconnect for something to go terribly wrong.
Depends on how much you care about the well being of your child.
I think it sould be mostly up to the parent but it should be when the child is mature enough to handle themselves and emergency situations. They should not be left home alone for too long the first time and go over the emergency procedures with your child. You may gradually increase the time alone if it is okay with the child. DO NOT LEAVE THE CHILD ALONE IF THEY DONT WANT TO BE LEFT HOME ALONE!!!!!
Some states have set a minimum age for which children can be left at home alone. Texas has not set a minimum age for leaving children at home, but it is best to consider the maturity and responsibility levels of an individual child before leaving them at home overnight.
There is no law that specifies an age. However, the child must be safe, feel as if they are safe, and be able to get help if they need it. Probably 14 to 15 if they are trusted by their parents.
In many places a 16 year old is legal to live on their own so it would seem that a 17 year old is more than capable of staying the night on their own except in rare cases such as not being capable of being alone at any time (ex. special needs).
Yes it's perfectly legal.
