18 years old. If you were younger and your parents approved you could be as young as 16. Or as some young men did, they lied about their age basically saying they were older than they really were , in order to get into the army.
I think it was between 18 and 40??
It a bit more complicated than that. See the following page for a complete answer:

IN 1914 when the war first started the age limit wasnt as high as 40 but as the war went on and they started to struggle for men they would allow men as young as 14 to join for example : a young boy would try and sign up the person signing them up (sorry dont know the offical name lol) would say how old are you? the boy would say 14 then the man would say how about coming back tomorrow when you are 19 ;)
and they also would let older men join if they had a history of being in the forces or had knowledge/experience
The minimum age was 18 but since the technology was not advanced enough to check social security you could lie about your age so there really was no age requirement its just common sense on look i am pretty sure they wouldn't put a 12 year old as an 18 year old i hope that answered your question.
(BY COMP_UTER15776)there was no limit when you HAD to, but you volunteered officially at 18, although 16s got in. even a 14 year old once. the only time you HAD to was conscription: if you were single, male, and above or 18. ((BY COMP_UTER15776)
18 this was one of the only strict rules of joining there were
18 or over but many people below that age joined because they lied about their age!
ok well i really am not sure about this but im pretty sure you had to be 17 to join the army and military forces. ~ sam is cool
In 1915 it was between 21 and 45, but after 1915 they began recruiting people who were eighteen.
you would have to be at least 15 but a lot of people lied about their
age and the army counsellor did not know about the lying until the
end of the war

The age limit depends on where in the world you are trying to rent a store space.
