There is no residency requirement. The leader of a political party which obtains the most seats in an election becomes Prime Minister, so that person could have been in Canada for a day and became Prime Minister.

There is no upper or lower age limit, but in practice, if someone didn't have enough experience, nobody would vote for them.

Any Member of Parliament can become Prime Minister, therefore the lower age restriction is currently 18.

These days, you cannot run for Parliamentary election until you are 21 years old, but after that, there's no minimum age.

The youngest Prime Minister the UK has ever had is William Pitt the Younger, who took office in 1783 at the age of just 24 and was in office until 1801, although he returned to office for a second time from 1804-06, when he died aged only 47.

The second youngest is the current Prime Minister David Cameron, who was 44 when he took office.

Any person who is a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old can be elected to Parliament, and therefore could theoretically become Prime Minister.
