In order to start trading stocks, the legal age requirement is 18 to open a brokerage account in your name. However, if you are under the age of 18 your parents/guardians can open a custodian account for you.

Yes, there is a lower age limit, but no, there is no upper age limit, for buying stocks. Most states in the United States of America limit stock purchases to individuals 18 or 21 years and older.

If you are 18 years old you can independently invest in stocks. If you are a minor, with the supervision of a guardian you can invest in stocks.
