How old does a hamster have to be to go in the ball?
a hamster can be any age except when it is a baby
yes it wont kill the hamster mine is about 8 to 9 weeks old and she(shes called honey) loves going in her ball
it depends on the hamster
Your hamster doesn't need to go in the ball everyday , If your hamster has an exercise wheel then you can put them in the ball when you want to. I have 2 hamsters and they both have hamster balls and i only put them in it 3 times a week at the most :)
No, there is nothing wrong with your hamster. My guinea pig never runs around in her ball, and your hamster may just be getting old.
A hamster wheel is used in the cage and is powered by the hamster its self. A hamster ball is what you put the hamster in to exercise when you are cleaning the cage. A hamster ball is heavier so would probably go a bit slower but both are actually powered by the hamster its self so it depends on how fast it goes.
Yes, that way your hamster can go out of its cage but at the same time be safe. Don't ever leave your hamster inside the ball without supersivion.
a hamster-ball is a ball and in it there is hamster. see my house there will be a hamster-ball. issisabelle is my username
all hamster can use hamster ball and any age but have to be their size
Type Moshlingzoo1 in the Mo-pod codes box. Then log-in. When you get to your room go to your chest. There on the first box is a Hamster Ball!
with a fast motor 100mph (ish)
(i hope you are talking about a hamster) if your hamster is fat all you have to do is get a ball that is big enough for you little pet. (go to petstore for a hamster ball) put you hamster in the ball and let them run around on flat floor for about 15 min. everyday as well as cutting down on their food just a little bit. hope this helps (:
You should go to a local pet store and ask how much a hamster ball cost. I'm thinking it should cost between $2.00-$5.00
hamster ball or wheel
you could. but a hamster ball is dangerous for a hamster so it most likely be dangerous for a gerbil as well.
-If it is closed tightly, no. But some hamsters are clever and can find out how to get out of hamster balls. -If you leave the ball unattended, then it can slam the ball against a wall or something can open. That's what happend to my hamster but I found it :) Just make sure to be always watching your hamster when its in the ball and everything should be fine.
Where can you get a hamster ball with a locking lid because the lid on my hamster ball has become really loose and just falls off as the hamster is going along?
That normally happens when it is getting old and has loosened over time. Mine did exactly the same. Most pet stores will sell them.
The hamster gets more exercise because he is pushing a ball. Plus it is easier to catch than the hamster itself.
The pet store, of course!
Place it in. If it bite were gloves
At Costco they are selling them for about $30 for now. It is a 52' They can be pretty expensive. The least expensive one I have found is the 51' gigi ball on amazon.com. It is $49.49. I would go with the human hamster ball, because my "gigi ball" had hole in 3 in places.I just got!
You have to close the ball and let him run around in it. Once its been about 10 minutes, you open the ball and take it out.
a wheel in its cage or a hamster ball
If the 1 year old hamster is a syrian hamster DO NOT put another hamster with it. They are hamsters that NEED to be alone. If it is a dwarf, hamster, it might be ok. Dwarf hamsters like having each others company. However, if the 1 year old hamster is not use to other hamsters, it might not go over to well.
yes you d have to clean your hamster ball. it might have pee in it or just be dirty.
Nope. I have a dwarf hamster and he has a medium sized ball but its a little to heavy for his weak little body to move. I recomend the smalled ball you can get that way they can go faster and eaiser! Good luck!
in its cage i say. i have a hamster and i have to go to school, i feed him in the morning and i leave him in his cage, when i come back i put him into his exercise ball , and then i feed him again.
No the hermit crab's claws could get caught by the air slits in the ball. So putting your hamster in a hamster ball is a hazard.
There are a couple of ways. First take the top off then either pick it up and put it in or try with a treat by showing the hamster the treat to the hamster then putting the treat in the hamster ball. After awhile our hamster loved her ball so much all we had to do was open and put the ball near her and she would climb in on her on.
No it is not
One can purchase a hamster ball when one goes to a physical of store of PetSmart. Or one can buy a hamster ball online at the website of PriceMachine. Price ranges form $6 to $28.
I'd say definitely not. There are different species of hamster & Syrian's a re highly territorial & would attack another hamster placed in the same ball (after age 8-10 weeks). The other species of hamster are all of the 'dwarf' variety. Although more sociable I'd suggest that if the hamsters were trying to go in different directions it would be possible for them to get hurt when the ball moves.
Food: $5.59 Wood Shavings: $6.39 Cage: $25.49 Food bowl: $1.59 Waterers: $3.19 Hamster Wheel: $3.99 Hamster Ball: $7.19 You can go to Petco for more information.
It is either scared of the area or it just will, sometimes hamsters poop without knowing. But dont worry, just remember to always clean the ball, because the hamster will not move in the ball otherwise.
NO - do not put your guinea pig in any kind of ball! They do NOT have the spines that hamsters have and can break there backs.
I think you have bigger problems than asthma if you want to use a hamster ball.
Well yes, they cant get out or go any where else, so that is where they will do it.. So yes it is.
In a hamster ball.
It's recommended to put it in a hamster ball.
Hamster balls are safe but you just want to make sure that your hamster doesn't go down any stairs or get stuck behind anything. Your hamster can only be in a hamster ball for about 10-20 minutes otherwise your hamster may get hungry or thirsty just like you if play sports. You need a brake for water don't you? Well that's the same thing with hamsters. :) yes perfectly safe. they love the freedom to… Read More
No, get yourself a 'hamster ball' that you can put it in so that it can roll the ball round the house.
a hamster can get up two years old
yes my hamster runs for about 20-25 minutes every day
Buy it a bigger and better cage or get it a hamster ball.
If by regular hamster you mean a syrian then you can buy specific hamster balls to use. Other types of hamsters like Russian and Dwarfs may need to use a mouse ball as they are much smaller.
it doesn't matter. a band new soccer ball is as good as an old soccer ball. depending on how much air is in your soccer ball, you'll know how far it will go.
Yes but it really depends on the mouse. If you think your mouse would like a hamster ball make sure it is small and not hamster sized. If your mouse shows any signs of distress once in the hamster ball take it out immediately.
just put a wheel in the cage and let the hamster choose and if you're putting it in the ball then if you want your hamster to be fit put him/her in for 30 mins in ball every other day
If you get a special, smaller one, of course. The problem with a ball made for a syrian hamster is that it might be too heavy. A dwarf hamster's weight may not be enough to start it rolling.
What colour is hamster wheel had your hamster in its ball and straight away it went to the corner of the room backed against the wall them there was white stuff all over?
Well, if i can understand.. Your hamster was put in a ball? for the first time? it went to the corner and then there was a white substance.. In the ball or the wall? If i do understand, the white stuff was urine. Hamsters are terrified of the ball for the first time, so to get your hamster used to it- open the lid and put your hamster in- do not shut it. after they… Read More
