I have three pregnant rats. They are about 8 months old and 3-4 weeks along. They got pregnant as soon as we got the male and he was much young. I'm sure they could have gotten pregnant a lot younger. I know this wasn't a straight forward answer but this is my first experience allowing them to breed. They are great pets...I love them.
It is only recommended to breed a female rat between 4 and 8 months old. No more than 3 litters in her lifetime. http://www.rmca.org/Articles/qna3_00.htm I'm not sure age matters too much for males. But I'm pretty sure they can become infertile if not used to breed at an early age.
Rat's are able to reproduce at only 6 weeks, but it is not recommended as the rat is still growing. It is recommended that you breed your rat's when the doe is younger than 1 year, but older than 4 months.
don't hold me to this but i read when looking it up that Rats can get pregnant as young as 5 weeks old.
Once a female rat is 4 months, she can breed.
No because the Rat Terrier is to little. It is without forces still.
A brown rat will be pregnant for around 21 days. A Polynesian rat will be pregnant for 21-24 days.
Not before the rat eats the mouse.
If your rat is nesting and starting to get nipples, she may be pregnant, but it is possible that she is having a 'phantom pregnancy' where a rat show the signs of being pregnant but doesn't give birth to offspring.
Usually when they make a donut shaped nest they are pregnant
A pregnant rat has up to about 20 baby rats.
Rats can get pregnant as young as 5 weeks of age and if they have been in contact with a rat of the opposite sex, they can become pregnant within minutes. A rat's pregnancy lasts for approximately 21 days.
No. Not the same species.
When it is pregnant or has been desexed.
Yes I have a 9 week old rat with a 3 week old rat. Just be readdy for some unfair squabbling. My nine week old used to pick on the young one now they snuggle and everything.
If baby rats are not separated (males and females) around 5 or 6 weeks, it is possible for the females to become pregnant. It is also not recommended to breed a female until it is about 4 months old.
Its approximately 80 years old. But if its 3 years it 100.
