It depends on the film and how comfortable the parent is to let them go by themselves- they can go to see a U or a PG by themselves from fairly young. Only children over the age of twelve can see a 12 on their own, and children under twelve can see a 12a, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
To buy tickets on your own for a G-PG movie an 8 or mature 7 year old could purchase them watching a M movie you have to be a mature 12 year old they usually accept 11 year olds if they are mature, entering a MA movie a 18 year old over needs to purchse these tickets unless you have id showing you at least 15.
All ages are accepted at movie theatres. However, for R-rated movies, a parent or adult guardian must accompany people under 17. And for NC-17, no one under 17 is admitted.
Cinemas themselves may impose age limits... there are, for example, "boutique" movie theaters that only allow those 21 or over. These usually have more comfortable chairs (sometimes even recliners), often serve alcohol, and cost significantly more than the family multiplex down the street; part of what you're paying for is NOT having screaming kids running amuck during the movie.
There's also your parents to consider. If you're under the age of majority (often 18) and your parents say you're not allowed to go to the movies, then you're not allowed to go to the movies, even if all your friends of the same age are.

If you mean cinemas, then you need to be in the age limit shown on the trailer. If you mean an acting career, you should do a GSCE in Drama or go to a Drama school.
The legal age for R-rated movies is when you are an adult at age 18 years.
As long as you are 13 years of age or older, yes.

It's a rating that stands for Parental Guidance. It just means any age is allowed to watch the movie with parent's permission.
