so this year 2012 he is

2012-1985=27

James Poindexter jr is 26 years old until December 21,still 2012 he will be 27

and just keep subtracting the year when ever year you want and you will get how old he is in the next years

Ex: lets say it is now 2015 you do

2015-1985=30

so he will be 30 in 2015
