Knut, a young polar bear at the Berlin Zoo, died at the age of 4 in 2011.
When he and his twin were abandoned by their mother, he survived with round-the-clock care by zookeeper Thomas Dörflein, who also died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the age of 44 in 2008.
He is a male polar bear.

Polar bear
I sincerely regret to inform you that Knut, the world's most famous Polar bear, passed away on March 19, 2011. He was the first Polar bear cub to be raised past infancy by zookeepers at the Berlin Zoo in more than 30 years. Please see the related link below for more information, and...Keep Knutmania alive!
good old bark the polar bear is 19 years old
A polar bear cub less than 1 year-old.
well a polar bear can get to about 50 years of age before death
Some live only 2 years but I think the oldest polar bear died at 34, so not that old!
Snowglobe? Icee? Skis? Suzuki! I have a Polar Bear and need a name, too! Here is my list. - Knut (after a real Polar Cub) - Jingle (Christmas name) - Edmund (you know, from the movie? Edmund goes into the snow!) - Patrick (Just sorta cute) - Cocoa (mmm...nice name!)
look at its paws
The life process of a polar bear is pretty simple. It is born, it grows, eventually mates, and grows old until it dies.
