They were actresses ever since, until Ashley quit acting at 18 decided to pursue the fashion business. Meanwhile, Mary-Kate decided to continue with her acting career- solitarily as an adult. Until early 2012, Mary-Kate was an actress and then quit. Even though when Mary-Kate WAS an actress, she also accompanied her sister Ashley in the fashion business. But early 2012 Mary-Kate quit acting for good, and accompanied her sister (full-time) in the process of growing their fashion empire: (The Row, Olsenboye and Elizabeth & James).Aside from occupation wise, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned 26 years old on June 13th 2012; (which makes all the Full House viewers feel quite old!). And in the middle of 2012 Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen won the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) award- specifically the "Womenswear Award" for their work on "The Row", their most recent fashion line. Also there have been some allocations toward the other Full House member on neglecting Mary-Kate and Ashley!
